Today, the First Lady welcomed 55 talented kid chefs to the White House for the fourth annual Kids’ “State Dinner.” It was just like any other state dinner, complete with beautiful décor and White House china, except the guests of honor were kids!

The kids had entered the Healthy Lunchtime Challenge by submitting an original recipe that was healthy, affordable, and delicious. These 55 kids’ recipes were chosen from the nearly 1,000 entries that were submitted. One winning recipe came from each state, four territories, and the District of Columbia.

It was an incredible day filled with laughter, delicious healthy food, and fun. Even the President stopped by to say hello and see what was happening.
