One Small Step for Meredith, One Giant Step for Us

We have two main roles at The Pramana Collective. Partner and principal. Put roughly, partners are semi-mature people like myself who have led large communications teams and accrued experience over a couple decades. Principals have held big internal jobs and have been doing this kind of thing for roughly ten years. Principals keep us progressive and challenge us to do things better. We tolerate this because they’re smarter than us.

We’ve got a great team of partners. We need to do a better job of bringing on more principals. We’ve made a big step forward in this regard today.

We are happy to share that Meredith Kendall will join us as a principal in August.

Today is Meredith’s last day as the Head of Communications at Hulu. In her role, she led external communications for the company, including corporate, content, product, advertising and distribution. Meredith sat on the leadership team at Hulu; reported directly to the CEO; and managed a team of seven communications professionals.

Before Hulu, Meredith was head of public relations for the online video start-up Break Media (now Defy Media). And in foreshadowing necessary ego corralling of Pramana’s partners, she was a talent manager on American Idol.

Meredith began her career at Google on the global communications team and worked on projects that varied from launching consumer products to opening offices in Korea. She was a teammate with fellow Collective members Larry Yu, myself and our other very excellent principal, Eitan Bencuya.

She holds a Master’s degree in Communications, and Bachelor’s degrees in English Literature and Music Composition from Sam Biddle’s favorite academic institution — Stanford University. Meredith has already acquired her season tickets for Cardinal football so start buttering her up now. Most importantly, Meredith is actively seeking a new residence in San Francisco, so please contact us if you are among the lucky few who know where Willy Wonka’s Golden Ticket for the perfect apartment is located.

As principal at The Pramana Collective, Meredith will bring the full force of her experience to our clients and help companies and people think and act differently as they hit important inflection points.

You can connect with Meredith on Twitter.

We’d like to have more great professionals like Meredith and Eitan join us. Give me a buzz at brian @ pramanacollective dot com if this sounds interesting.

And no, Meredith was not involved in the 1950s covert CIA’s MKUltra program. Furthermore, The Pramana Collective does not endorse mind-control experiments or the subjugation of society through mind-altering substances. There’s PR for that.
