Taken literally marketing is the practice of getting a product to market.
In the context of corn in the 1700s that would include:
- Digging
- Carts
- Oxen
- Yelling
- Dealmaking
- Growing things people want
Today most of those activities would be product, sales and operations.
Maybe they shouldn’t be?
