For all of the Mac users out there, we put together a list of some of the Product Hunt community’s favorite menu bar apps. These tools will help you keep your screen from going into sleep mode, get up to 20% more runtime on your computer, easily record screenshots and GIFs, and more. Enjoy! :-)

1. f.lux

This app adjusts your computer’s display to adapt to the time of day. Your eyes will thank you for f.lux.

2. Noizio

Choose ambient background sounds for your Mac with Noizio. Sea waves, October rain, and campfire sounds, oh my!

3. Bartender

Easily organize your menu bar apps by hiding them, rearranging them, or moving them to the Bartender Bar.

4. Endurance

It’s the worst when your battery life is down to 2% and there is no wall plug in sight. Endurance will give your computer about 20% more run-time by adjusting your settings and turning off features that suck up the most energy.

5. Recordit

Recordit is asuper simple tool that allows you to easily record and share screencasts and GIFs. Lots of uses for this one.

6. Spectacle

Use keyboard shortcuts to resize and move windows around with ease. Spectacle is a great tool—especially if you like your desktop windows organized at all times.

7. One

One is a drop-down menu that shows recent posts on your favorite sites like Reddit, Hacker News, Designer News, Medium, and Product Hunt. 😊

8. Magnet for Mac

This app de-clutters your screen by snapping windows into organized tiles. Having multiple windows aligned neatly will help you eliminate your need for app switching. Check out Magnet.

9. Caffeine

Caffeine is a menu bar icon that prevents your Mac from automatically going to sleep. You can keep sleep mode off indefinitely or for a certain period of time. Your screen will never dim during a presentation again!

10. Paste

This app keeps track of everything you’ve ever copied, and allow you to see and use your clipboard history whenever you need it. It’ll keep track of text, images, links, files, and more. Paste is SUPER useful—especially when you realize you double copied something before you remembered to paste.
