How to Get Rid of Tooth Decay

There are many effective home remedies which can help you get rid of tooth decay without even visiting and dentist or oral care expert. Below are few of the habits which if incorporated in your daily routine will help you keep your teeth healthy and intact.

Basil and Mustard Oil

Both Basil and mustard oil are a good source of anti-bacterial property rich ingredients and hence helps fight the tooth decay causing bacteria. Basil is rich in calcium which helps build stronger teeth. It also contains soluble vitamins like vitamin A, Vitamin C, and vitamin K which have their own roles to protect and build healthy gums and teeth.

Mix both in equal part and use it in form of toothpaste every day and night. Regular usage of this mixture will ensure the health of your gums and teeth. It not only prevents but treats and heals tooth decay. It also known to combat bad breath.

Dietary Changes

Certain changes in your diet will give you necessary ingredients which are helpful in treating tooth decay and build stringer teeth and gums.

take plenty of green vegetables and dairy products as they are rich in vitamin D, Vitamin A, and calcium which are helpful in reversing any tooth decay.

Make sure your diet includes foods like eggs, fish, nuts, beans, avocado, coconut oil and olives. Also, include yogurt and green tea as part of your daily diet.

Avid foods which are high in sugar content like soda, candies, syrups etc. Remain away from packaged and processed foods. Also, avoid bakery items like cookies, cakes, donuts etc. as they are high in sugar content.

Salt

Mix some salt with a pinch of pepper and keep it over the affected are for around 10 minutes and then rinse off with normal water. Repeat it until the tooth is healed completely. Acidic nature of salt and pepper helps fight decay causing bacteria. The corrosive nature of salt also ensures that the tooth surface is cleaned off from any plaque or tartar build up.

You can also use salt water as a mouthwash to rinse your mouth every day after meal. It increases the pH balance of your mouth making it more alkaline and thus combats any cavity forming bacteria before it could harm you. It also ensures healthier gums. These days its also and essential part of many toothpastes.

Apple Cider Vinegar

It has anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties which helps heal any kind of tooth decay when used regularly. It also ensures healthier gums and whiter teeth. Due to its acidic properties, it ensures that decay causing bacteria are out of your mouth. Just dip a cotton swab into some apple cider vinegar and put it on affected area to heal it for around 10 minutes. Use this remedy daily until your teeth is healed completely. It also help reduce pain in your teeth.

It also helps combat bad breath.
