One thing I’ve learned as I’ve gotten older: the body doesn't recover like it used to. An astounding revelation, I know. A few knee pops here, a couple more ankle cracks there, I’m starting to feel every bit of the 18+ years of running and general physical activity on my mid-thirties frame.
