Using methods that are direct, actionable, and measurable in the results they create exists as the foundation for a successful strategy to build a community of fans around your business.

What does community mean to your business?

The premise of a community lies in things that most people would consider abstract and subjective such as loyalty to the company, what each person thinks of your company, why they are a fan, and the nature of cultural medium created by the company that their group of fans inhabit.

In other words, cultivating a vibrant community really depends on your ability to leverage the resources you have at hand and attempt to measure these abstract values like culture in relation to a specific action or means that your company has made towards the end of building that community.

In the same way that caring for an aquarium involves being able to measure and control a number of important environmental conditions such as the temperature or pH of the water, creating and caring for an online community for your business should also follow a similar type of philosophy.
