Universe Core Drop: Lobby Lobsters

With cryptocurrency gaining more popularity and attention, the need for regulations and policy that support the industry become more necessary.

Cryptocurrency and non-fungible tokens are such a new innovation it’s only natural that policy makers would be a little disconnected to what the industry is innovating towards. The end goal is more power to artists and creators but it’s the role of litigators to police networks they are trying their best to understand. Lobby Lobsters is an attempt to help aid in education.

There will be 10,000 Lobby Lobsters to be minted at .1 ETH each and up to 20 in one transaction. Universe is going to donate the 1000 ETH we potentially earn from the original sales to a non-profit focused on the policy issues facing cryptocurrencies. We will announce the name of that organization after the sales of the Lobsters has ended.

Lobsters will be live Sunday at 11:11 AM EST on Universe.xyz.

All sales and resales will go to the Universe Multi-Sig and we will do community Forum and snapshot votes to decide which organizations or groups to donate money to each month. The reasoning for this is so there is no holdup on funds. Universe will be transparent about the funds and will follow the communities wishes on where future donations will be made.

We will also donate the 7.5% (2.5% goes to Opensea) secondary sales to other lobby groups and organizations around the world, not just the United States. Crypto is a global network and we believe that everyone is in this together.

Lobby Lobsters will serve as a badge of honor and represent that you helped make a difference in the crypto ecosystem.

We moved as fast as we could to bring this project to the NFT community. We hope that this allows the NFT community to have a voice and can hopefully educate lawmakers about crypto.
