I completely f*cked my first one-person business.

I had just quit my 9–5 job and jumped head first into my biz.

Zero experience. No clue what to do. After a good 12 months, the flaws in my business model started to surface. I ran into cash flow issues. I knew I had to pivot. But I didn’t know how.

Here’s what I would have done instead.

Start with a high-ticket service.

If you have a 9–5, you already have a one-person business.

You’re just selling your skills to one customer: Your employer.

To scale your one-person business, just resell the skills and knowledge you have gained during your 9–5 to another employer.

This will be a business-to-business offer (B2B).

You can easily charge $2.5k—$5k per month.
