Resoomer is an incredible online tool. This is a kind of magic reel that goes from one click to produce a summary of any long text as long as the latter is somewhat structured.
Resoomer does wonders with press articles, scientific texts, story texts or commentaries on works if they are well structured. To the impossible no one is held, the tool throws logically the sponge with writings type novels, narrations or dialogues. For the rest the magic plays full and the results of the few tests I have achieved are remarkable.
The use is very simple. Simply copy and paste the text you want to summarize in the window provided on the home page of the site. A click and almost instantly the result is displayed. A kind of express slimming cure with on screen your two texts and the famous formula “before — after” left the original text, right the summary.
The creators of Resoomer have done the right thing and also offer to make it even easier for you the task of extensions for your browser very practical that will allow you to use Resoomer during your web browsing with a single click. The tool offers extensions for Chrome, Firefox and Opera.
The result generated by Resoomer is not a perfect synthesis. This is an automatic summary that captures the main points and ideas of a text. Then you complete it and refine it. But this first automatic analysis will already save you a lot of time. Resoomer reduces on average the length of a text by two.
The tool goes even further. In the results window, you have a small cursor that allows you to further reduce the text. The risk of course if you go beyond the proposed automatic reduction is to lose in passing an important notion or idea of the text.
Resoomer also offers, in the results window, a text analysis button that highlights the passages and important notions in yellow in the text. Take a test for example with a long Wikipedia article, you will be amazed at the result.
Oh, I forgot that Resoomer is played and “amazing” both texts in French and English. An amazing tool that locates and picks up important ideas from a text and lets you get to the point.
