I actually show you lost civilizations in the Amazon Rainforest – A journey into the unknown.
Digging for the undiscovered city in the jungle and their finding is the discovery of one of the greatest lost civilization ever known to exist.
Picture to yourselves a quarry, buried deep in the darkness of the hot, Brazilian rain forest of the ancient times. For one thousand years such societies were complex, they engineered great works and held large cities that mysteriously disappeared from the face of the earth. Until recently, we believed the Amazon with all its jungles and exotic species to be a place where man has never tread. What if there was not just a civilization but a society so progressive, and enigmatic that it only left behind legends? It is the real life tale of the lost civilizations of the Amazon… seventy years of exploration and adventure.
These Are the ancient discovered cities
A group of scientists at the start of the millennium observed peculiar signs on images in satellite in the Amazon rain forest. Squares, circles and other large circuits of earthworks appeared from the forest top and many questions about homes arose. But these were not geometrical formations, these were ruins of structures created by some ancient civilization. Nevertheless, while calling it the green hell these people had designed massive cities which had a very efficient architectural design.
Pre Columbian Empires: The Amazonian Civilizations
Several hundred years ago, the Amazon was not just the jungle that is well regarded today. This was a dwelling place of millions of people who changed the geography of the land by developing it with a highly developed system of farming and water supply. L processing, people who lived here, the mysterious civilization, used ‘ terra preta’ black earth which provideshumus soil that enabled them to grow crops, support large communities. Experts now estimate that the Amazon was one of the most populated areas in the American continent to have been as populated as the Mayan and Inca civilizations.
The Secrets of the Engineering in Amazon
Amusingly, the Amazonian people did not only live their lives, but they lived them well and in unison with nature. They built extensive networks of causeways, canals and even pyramid and integrated their civilization perfectly into the forest. They designed buildings which relied on environmental resources in efforts to foster provision of fish ponds and water troughs for use during the dry seasons. Little evidence shows that they remained behind since they used organic materials to construct their dwellings and cities; one would look around a forest and not see signs that populated civilizations once thrived there.
What went wrong these civilizations?
Therefore, to where did these people go? When Europeans arrived in the Amazon, all of these societies had already disappeared. They think that European diseases have actually eliminated the native inhabitants and with them the knowledge and experience of many generations. The rainforest advanced on their cities gradually and over the course of years buried the facts in its bosom. Now, as archeologists continue to exhume, they find more explanations about the narrative, which was believed to be wiped out.
Rediscovering the Lost World
Through the use of sophisticated equipment such as LIDAR that is able to scan the ground through vegetation cover we are increasingly discovering that the Amazon is not virgin land but an origin of man and civilization. The vanished civilizations of the Amazon tell the great story of an ingenious people who were able to build complex civilizations while maintaining their invisibility. They left within the very fabric of the forest itself, and their story wants to tell much more of the still unknown.
The discoveries in the Amazon rainforests make everyone learn some bitter but very important lessons about history. In a place we believed was pristine, we discovered immense proof of intelligent human participation and relationship with environment. Imagine what other truths are there untold deep in the forests or any other part of the world. It is still a very long way before the mystery and history of the Amazon can really be explored.
