The versatility of baking soda and its uses are endless. There are so many. You can use it to clean your household or it can be used as natural remedy for common healthy problems and hygiene.

Here is a list of some ways that baking soda can be used that you can do at home:

  1. To brush your teeth

- Most people spend a ton of money on teeth whitening products when baking soda can give you that same whitening effect but at an inexpensive cost. Just add a small amount to your toothbrush, with your regular toothpaste and brush for a few minutes. You’ll see results within days!

2. To naturally lighten your hair

- Chemicals can damage the hair at a heavy rate depending on how often you put chemicals in your hair. And the use of hair dye and bleaching can really do the damage for you. Why not try a more natural way to lighten your hair by using baking soda and hydrogen peroxide. Mix both contents in a bowl until it makes a medium-thick paste and apply to the hair. Let it sit under a shower cap for 30–45mins and then rinse. Depending on how light you want your hair you may have to redo that process in a few more weeks time.

3. Deodorant or Getting Rid of Body Odor

- Baking soda has powerful antibacterial properties and can help you get rid of embarrassing odors or prevent them from happening. Just mix 1 teaspoon of baking soda and rub under your arms or your feet.

4. Skin Exfoliation

- You can rid yourself of dead skin cells and improve your dry skin by using baking soda. Just mix 3 tablespoons of baking soda with 1 tablespoon of water. Rub the paste on your face in a circular motion. Wash it off with clean, warm water. Another way you can do that is to mix 1 tablespoon of baking soda, 5 drops of extra-virgin olive oil, and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. Apply that mixture to your face and leave it on for 10 minutes. Rinse off with cold water and repeat this process 3 times per week.

5. Sunburn Relief

- If you’re going to be out in the sun a lot, at the beach or the pool hen you need to let baking soda tag along with you. Just soak yourself with a mixture of baking soda in your bath. A half of cup of that in your bath while you soak for 15mins will do the trick and relieve you from sunburn.

6. Hair Cleanser

- Using baking soda in your hair care helps to cleanse dirt and oil from the scalp. Also to level balance the ph level of your scalp. Just mix maybe a teaspoon of baking soda with each application of shampoo and scrub it throughout your scalp and hair.

7. Shoe Deodorizer

- Everybody should know this one. You got stinky ass feet which makes your shoes stink? Sweating feet? Want to prevent stinky shoes? Pour a small amount of baking soda in each shoe and shake it around in there to evenly distribute and go on about your day!

Spend all that money for what? When everything you could possible need is in your kitchen or bathroom. Don’t go wasting money on all of those expensive name brand things when you could just use he old school stuff that never stops working. That always gets the job done. I hope this was of some good information for you!! :)
