Thank you all for your generosity.
Over the last 4 days, the Safety Net Fund has raised nearly $40,000 allowing us to write 76 grants of $500! It’s a fantastic start and we are thankful. We are also awestruck that we have had FOUR HUNDRED AND THIRTY-THREE email registrations from Bay Area artists. That’s nearly 500 people who make their living from art and events who make less than $1,000 a month. Please, give like you won the lottery. Because compared to many, you have.
Artists, in order to receive a grant you must apply with the link on this page that says “Click this link to apply for the artist grant.” Grant requests will be evaluated in the order received.

As a reminder there are 5 eligibility requirements.
Eligibility Requirements:
- The grantee must reside in the Bay Area (See attached list of eligible zip codes on the blog post)
- The grantee must provide proof of artistic endeavor within the last 6 months
- The grantee must not be eligible for unemployment
- The grantee must have less than $1000 of income within the last 30 days
- Grants will be evaluated in the order received.
We will give out this money as soon as we can. We will give out another grant in April with the money we raise after today.
This crisis is real, there are people hurting. If you can give, please support artists in the Bay area.
