The beginning in numbers: 12-hour flight, 36-hour stopover in Novosibirsk, 6-hour journey in a pre-historic coach through Siberia, 2.20am time of arrival at destination. The plan — recharge the batteries then time to start planning. Except our first day kicked off at 1.00pm after a prolonged snooze. Catch-ups, card games, family time, a self-trained crossfit session and raggaeton. Day 1 — success. Sort of.
