Two-day Trip to Møns Klint

You can go by train to Vordingborg from Copenhagen Central Station and from there by bus 660R to Stege on Møn and further on to the cliffs by bus 678. The journey takes approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes by public transport.

This is the first two-day trip I took with my new friends in Denmark. However, we encountered series of unexpected accidents that delayed us to our destination. Our train was delayed and then cancelled because of a certain accident.

No. We didn’t give up. Instead, we continued our journey by taking buses. Due to the unique (reluctant) chance, We transferred three buses to Høje Taastrup train station and by train to Vordingborg, and then by bus to Stege where our hotel Residens Møen was located. And we finally made it after 8-hour journey!!

Stege

Stege originated as a small fishing village called Dybsbroen, on the coast just north of the eastern end of the bridge, along the street now known as Dybsbrostræde.

We arrived at Stege on Monday (during weekdays); thus, there weren’t many tourists in town. If you also a morning person,“harbour-breeze lover” or a person who loves being alone, you mustn’t miss the refreshing and pleasant morning walk by the port here. You will definitely gain the serenity you desire.

Møns Klint

Møns Klint are a 6 km stretch of chalk cliffs along the eastern coast of the Danish island of Møn in the Baltic Sea.

We call Møns Klint white chocolate because one of my friends just misunderstood white chalk cliffs for white chocolate and we love the new name. I think this is how friendship is built. We travel together, share stories and create our own collective memory.
