Just be yourself!
For me, I always have a hard time being confident, feeling secure about my looks.
Getting past insecurities about your appearance is not tell-yourself-is-as-SIMPLE-as-drinking-water that easy. However, it is something that all of us should try to work on.
Recently, I read this book ”Notes on a nervous planet”, which is beautiful, wise and engaging and it gave me so much power to be myself.
We sometimes are overly worried about how people think about us. We care about what others consider the right things to do. We tend to please people instead of loving ourselves first.
These two pages are my favourite in this book, as it said, “Other people on the beach don’t care about your body. And if they are thinking about you, why do you care? Why do you worry so much about a stranger’s opinion?
Remember, everyone is priceless. No one ever has the right to hurt you, and we don’t have the right to give the feeling of pain to others as well.
Think before you do anything. Evaluating “Am I going to make this person feel disappointed if I do this?” is surely much better than asking yourself “How can I make up for saying those heart-breaking words?”
As today is International Women’s Day, I just want to have a quick sharing of my thought about being proud of who you are, since that is the most precious mindset in the world.
I am working hard to be stronger, to not being afraid of showing who I truly am. I hope everyone can attempt at least once in your life as well, not for anyone but for ourselves.
For everyone who is struggling in self-acceptance, let’s find our way to embrace ourselves together, and you will find even your flaws are fabulous.
