Toast with a Catalan beer at Cerveseria Catalluna
A short walk from the Joanic metro station and you’ll find Cerveseria Catalluna on Carrer de l’Encarnació, 21.
Quim has been running this bar for the past thirteen years, and although at first glance, it does not appear that big, it actually has a big space at the back past the bar. There is even room for a billiards table, though you wouldn’t know it just from passing by.
As Quim is the only one working at the bar, he has the unique chance to get to know personally all the customers. This is definitely the place to come if you are looking for an authentic bar de barrio.
Just the name Cerveseria Catalluna is a big hint that this is a bar proud of its Catalan roots and that wants to be a heart of the community. Even though they have some international beers, you definitely need to enjoy a local Catalan beer if you go.
Every week they change the beers available on tap, so if you like tasting different beers and seeing what they have to offer, make sure to come back again.
