I started meditating at the age of 13 mainly because I was looking to understand a lot of questions regarding life and death and the meaning of life.

from my 18 to my 22s I was an avid yogi and meditation practitioner. Then i lost myself into my “20s rock and roll” era and adopted other life style habits not good for my body and my mental health.

It was finally around my year 34 that I re-embraced Meditation…and this time for good!!! because otherwise I would’ve not survive the mental and physical stress of my life. I was more consequent but not enough: let’s say I was meditating once a week; what actually has no effect or benefit at all! I mean; better than nothing. But if your goals is to acquire awareness, expand your intelligence, control your body and your emotions; then you need to take this seriously.

Meditation is like breathing, drinking or eating. It’s a must for living good! Is a cleansing for the mind and a pleasure to the body. Meditation is like resetting your laptop so the software runs smoother.

Finally was on my 37s when I took meditation very seriously and it became my daily bread.

Ok, now let me tell you why I made a challenge to watch 100 sunrises, meditat and which are the results.

Basically your state of mind is defined by the chemistry of your body and your brain. You can control your chemistry either changing your thoughts with your own awareness and practicing gratitude, for example, or by consuming healthy things that balance your body chemistry AKA good organic and healthy foods. Or better doing both!

So I wanted to test what are the effects of the first lights of the day in my brain. I wanted to feel what are the effects of watching a sunrise in my mind and in my body and the results are: A feeling of Ecstasy, Blissfulness, Awe and Gratitude. That later was reflected on more awareness on my daily decisions, more compassion for others and a greater feeling of understanding of life.

All this feelings are influencing the DNA expression in your body. They are also triggering and activating glands and the secretion of delicious hormones that heals and makes the body feel F*#king amazing!!!

Day 1 was so pleasurable that I couldn’t wait until the next day to wake up at 4:50 am and walk a kilometer to the beach to see the sunrise again and sit in the sand feeling gratitude and visualizing all the wonderful and beautiful things I want to create in my life.

Every day the sunrise was different: some days the sky looked psychedelic with golden, magenta, cyan colors. Other days the sky was cloudy and dark, but the ocean still looked beautiful. Other days there we no clouds and the beach looked like a dream, like a sacred place, lost on a virgin planet a thousand galaxies from here.

Everyday the sunrise was different, but my feelings and my emotions were the same: Ecstasy, Blissfulness, Awe and Gratitude.

Day 100 came and I invited some friends to accompany me to see the sunrise and meditate. Four of them came with me. The sunrise came from behind the mountains around the bay of Punta Uva. We were all quiet. Observing the sun coming out of the jungle. Watching the dark blues and golden reflections in the ocean. What a beautiful moment. We had tears in our eyes triggered by gratitude, beauty and bliss.

What a beautiful moment!

What an amazing effect in your brain chemistry. What an amazing experience for your physical body. How great is to be alive and be able to explore and observe this!

Just been there observing the sunrise and appreciating the beauty of this world is the most profound way of meditation.

I wish this feeling and this experiences for you too!

Love and Blessings!
