Smaller update this week as we head into March, but we anticipate having more exciting news over the coming weeks. We will take a one week pause next week and resume the weekly update on March 16, 2022. Smart contract optimization was the major focus of the past week while the team continues to perform internal testing on APIs. In addition to the previously mentioned ramp up of specific pre-mainnet marketing activities, in the coming weeks you will see increased social media posting to start to gain traction and awareness of our platform and products as we are planning on bringing on a new member.

Development Team Updates

Continued progress was made by the smart contract team this week with work on the blobber block reward PR which has fixed some code following review and feedback. In addition, the team has continued to make headway on the miner rewards PR via code refactoring, optimizing stake pool databases. This is critical for blockchain functions as miners, sharders, and blobbers will be paid for their respective duties. While this was being addressed, some MPT setting code was being worked on, however was pending the completion of stake pool refactoring. Since then, stake pool code has been recently merged into the staging branch so the team will be able to start to implement the delegate pools for authorizers in zcnsc as described here. Now that this has been completed, the team continues its work on MPT setting code and will work on this over the next week.

Other areas of emphasis this week will include focusing on zcnsc-related issues and PRs which addressed authorizers, which has made progress over the past week. The team will meanwhile continue to work on the distribute lock code on gosdk and blobbers, which is functioning well so far but has a little more work to go. Mild progress has been made on the transaction cost, nonce and challenge optimization but will continue to ramp up over the remaining part of this week and next.
