Why dApps don’t need to build blockchains?

I recently made a keynote speech at the Stanford event, which had an overwhelming number of attendees from around the world, and included leading thinkers in the blockchain industry such as Whitfield Diffie.

In the speech, I talked about how dApps can scale using our platform and create a chain for their need. We make it easy for dApps to configure a chain with a few mouse clicks within minutes, instead of building it from scratch with several developers over months, years. With our approach, dApps can build application protocols that focus on their customers needs, rather than the underlying blockchain infrastructure technology. With 0chain, dApps do not need spend any capital on development or infrastructure, and can focus their attention on protocols and associated proofs needed for their specific decentralized applications.

Also in the speech, I talked about our three biggest values for 0chain that we would like the dApp community to resonate with — Fast, Flexible, and Free. We are the fastest blockchain, the most flexible, and above all free. dApps raising funds on other chains such as Ethereum and NEO can use our simple APIs to create a chain and get off the ground faster than other dApps struggling to decide on an appropriate blockchain technology. And dApps that are on a traditional cloud can easily move over to ours, and record their micro-transactions on our blockchain, and store data (images, videos) on our cloud with guaranteed redudancy, and not worry about recurring cost typically associated with computing and storage.

I also talked about our consensus protocol, 2D-BPoS, a two-dimensional Byzantine proof of stake protocol. The Byzantine aspect makes the consensus faster because the confirmation of a transaction is deterministic, instead of probabilistic. The 2D aspect adds a layer of security and speed. If a block generator succumbs to a DDoS attack, then secondary miner’s blocks can be propagated. The speed aspect is achieved by having multiple secondary miners verify the block simultaneously, instead of having just one miner verify at a time, as is the case of traditional delegated proof of stake protocols.

If you’re a dApp or a blockchain drop us a note on how we can help alleviate your scalability issues. We’re an extensible platform for blockchains and our goal is to help dApps go to market faster with a high performant decentralized solution at zero cost.
