EU Erasmus+ project, Knowledge4All and others partner with 0xcert

0xcert is thrilled to become a member of the consortium of partners on the EU Erasmus+ project, whose aim to bring micro-credentialing into higher level education.

Study Exchange brought to the blockchain
One of the benefits students all accross EU can enjoy, is an opportunity to enroll a study exchange program, accessing courses in another country and in another language. Living and studying abroad often creates life-long memories, meeting new people or even taking courses on-line.
On the other hand, involvement in different programs or enrolling courses from various institutions is often a bureaucratic hassle — often, courses are not being recognized credits automatically and sometimes not at all. Institutions also often struggle to evaluate courses of another university or institution with the within the internal evaluation mechanisms.
While EU citizens enjoy free mobility across EU borders and share a common currency, the education system however is still missing an improved level of integration and mobility.
Custom-made education
Imagine you could pick courses from different educational institutions, depending on their specialization, credentials, and your interest. You could enroll courses from 4 different universities during a 3-year study program, but without having to worry whether they will be recognized towards your degree.
Each course or a set of courses are recorded as a micro-credential, and as they accumulate, the learner can obtain a diploma. Furthermore, such micro-credentials will be issued on the blockchain, directly into the student’s wallet who can then decide on transforming these micro-credentials into a degree, giving power to the learner.

Changes this ambitious and large-scale need time and dedication. But such cases are the reason behind building 0xcert, and we are very proud to be able to offer a technological solution for this project.
0xcert will be providing the underlying technology that will enable educational institutions issue micro-credentials to learners looking for a more personalized education.
