Preamble

The wind blows in your hair, the air thick with mist. Stalwart, your peaceful warriors of a brighter future stand beside you at the helm of your ship. Gazing through the fog and into the distance, land finally creeps into sight after a nearly decade-long journey through the great unknown — an unglamorous seeking of answers and change.

The land ahead is fertile with the promise of the world you sought. Deep in the depths of this realm of knowledge, you’ve finally found the place you’ve been looking for.

Though the journey has been long, it was required — fate’s hand itself guided the process. You are filled with newfound knowledge acquired along the way, finally ready for what lies ahead.

You peer to your left.

From the fog emerges another ship. To it’s left, another. And another. You turn to your right. More ships. All converging on the same point, at the same time.

You and your crew thought you had been alone — and you had been.

But not anymore. Once again, the universe provides; an oscillation between extremes. A period of isolation answered with a period of unity.

Intuition has guided you all here. To this spot. At this point in time. Intuition — the great unexplainable. The feeling you know, but do not understand.

Intuition, The Atlas. Subtle, hinting; not forcing, but guiding. A map, not of paper, but of something deeper — something ephemeral. Something ethereal.

Once again, Intuition speaks — ushering you forward. This time more clear. This time in words instead of in thoughts and feelings.

“Gm frens — we have helped you here, but with your newfound knowledge, The Atlas is now yours to create.”

We have noticed that the intersection we find Intuition operating at — the intersection of decentralized identity, reputation, data, social, finance, and more — is fragmented and disjointed. Many champions of the same cause are unaware of one another’s existence; information is hard to find, and duplication of efforts is rampant; those who are new do not even know where to look to get started.

We’d like to change that.

🌐 Introducing “The Atlas” — Our Shared Knowledge Odyssey

We’ve all championed our causes, often echoing similar messages from different mountaintops, with our voices soaring across various platforms — from podcasts to blogs to Discord to telegram to conferences. Yet, amidst the echoing, a synergized voice and a consolidated space for our eclectic ideas, explorations, and discoveries have been amiss.

“The Atlas” aspires to be that unifying domain where our collective knowledge, spanning the aforementioned topics, can converge, coalesce, and catapult forward in a shared journey of discovery and enlightenment.

🚀 Journey Beyond the Ordinary

Although other communities exist for specific subsets of the arena we are operating in, there is not yet a stream of consciousness for the juncture of this space at this juncture of decentralized identity, reputation, finance, knowledge, information, data, etc. (PS we’d love to find a better name for all of us to use, that in some way encompasses all of these concepts; however, for now, I’ll just keep rambling all of these words in a row together to describe this odd but beautiful junction).

“The Atlas” embarks upon this broader, more expansive adventure. It stands at the intriguing intersection where various domains entwine, weaving a vibrant tapestry that unveils the comprehensive narrative of our shared insights and endeavors.

🌱 A Repository Sprouting from Our Collective Wisdom

Envision “The Atlas” as a rich repository and a lively forum, a sanctuary where our thoughts, learnings, and innovations are not only preserved but also perpetually enriched through vibrant discussions and campaigns that invite, inform, and inspire both the seasoned traveler and the new explorer. The Atlas is not one place, but many places — Discourse, Twitter, Discord, Telegram, YouTube, etc. — as well as reality itself — all finally connected by a singular, guiding map. To help bring it all together, we’ve launched The Atlas Forum — a place for us to retreat to after our adventures throughout the ecosystem; a place to hang out hats, grab a drink, and engage in structured dialogue.

🎯 “Expeditions”

Creating a new hub for discourse is hard. We believe it must be seeded with good conversation and momentum must be attentively and intentionally maintained.

As such, we will be orchestrating periodic campaigns, dubbed “Expeditions”, each zooming into different realms that resonate with our community. Expeditions are meant to be 1–2 weeks in length, featuring content of many formats spread across many social mediums, bringing new adventurers into the fray along the way. We’d love to aggregate the structured, more academic conversations into the official forum to the best of our abilities so that others may digest the material later — and so there will be an effort to ultimately drive Expedition conversations there.

The end result will be a library of thoughts, discussions, and debates, each highlighting a different Lego block of our ecosystem’s composable stack — each made easily navigable for newcomers wishing to join us in our quest.

These Expeditions aren’t mere discussions but curated knowledge journeys that dissect, explore, and constructively debate various topics, ensuring that the embers of conversation and learning are perpetually alight.

Sustaining the momentum of these knowledge-sharing quests, each Expedition will not only fuel our current conversations but also lay down the seeds for the forthcoming ones, knitting a seamless continuity of dialogue, exploration, and comprehension within our community.

Though the Intuition team will be spearheading various Expeditions to ensure there is more than enough to talk about, we invite each one of you to be the torchbearers of knowledge, to pioneer your own Expeditions, igniting dialogues, and forging paths into new or uncharted territories of wisdom and ideas.

Expeditions can weave through varied formats — from focused discussions and interactive workshops to exploratory webinars and insightful panel discussions, crafting a vibrant mosaic of perspectives, knowledge, and collaborative learning.

And we are here to help. If you’d like to go about hosting an Expedition permissionlessly, please do! However, if you’d like some hand-holding to seamlessly intertwine with the fluid stream of The Atlas, please do not hesitate to reach out!

Though the Expeditions hosted by us and others may be the foundation on which The Atlas is built, it is by no means the end game. These are merely meant to anchor our conversations to pertinent topics, ensuring our time, energy, and attention are focused on the most important topics at hand. For those of you who don’t wish to uncover new regions of the map, we need you to help fill out the existing regions of the map!
