I’m sure you have heard of colour changing lipstick, but maybe you are new to the game, or perhaps you want a few pointers on which ones are worthwhile. I first discovered colour changing lipstick from the Smashbox.co.uk brand, but they no longer make that lip product. Dependent on my mood, my lips would change from a lighter pink to a darker pink all from the same product.

In this blog post I’m going to recommend three of the best colour changing lipsticks that I have tried, and love. Some are really affordable, while others are pricy and luxurious.

1. Essence Electric Glow Colour Changing Lipstick — £3.99

This lipstick I recently purchased has a pleasant scent and taste. The stick looks very glittery, but upon application to the lips, it adds a sheer tint. This unique lipstick contains a colour-changing formula that adapts to your own lip shade, creating a custom colour that is tailored to you. Perhaps you can create a deeper shade the more you apply it.

Great price and highly recommended for newbies to colour changing lipsticks.

My Rating: 3/5

2. Clarins My Sweety Balm Colour Reveal Balm — £14

Although it’s currently out of stock at the clarins.co.uk website, nor available on Amazon, I have provided some links where you can buy on eBay.

This really is a sweet balm. It tastes slightly peachy upon application, but the colour reveals itself very quickly. It’s a great handbag essential, and affordable too.

In my opinion, the box is not essential. It could be sold as is and Clarins could knock off a pound or two.

My Rating: 4/5

3. Dior Addict Lip Glow — £32

This one has got to be my favourite, and I have two of these — Rose Gold, which is extremely difficult to find, and the coral.

The Rose Gold was my wedding lipstick, and my hubby managed to get me the Coral shade in a sale where I think we paid £25. I don’t use them often, but I feel so glamorous when I do. It’s available in 15 shades.

According to Dior.com, the ingredients are 97% natural origin ingredients. The balm feels so moisturising on the lips, and then there is the colour revealing shade that appears within minutes.

I’m not usually one to buy designer lipsticks, but I do love this Dior Addict Lip Glow.

My Rating: 5/5
