It’s easy to give up. That’s why you shouldn’t.

It’s easy to give up. Sometimes it just feels like the only way. After you think you’ve tried your best, and exhausted all your options, and all the other things you’ve talked yourself into attempting. You sometimes think there’s nothing you can do anymore. And that’s exactly where you’re wrong.

You haven’t failed. You just haven’t tried enough. It’s easy to say, but very difficult to follow through. It feels like it’s a long road with no end in sight, but have faith. Faith is so important in this situation. I understand that it feels like you might not be able to. But trust that you can.

You might have tried everything you thought of. But I am asking you to try something different.

Try to love yourself.

Try to go easy on yourself.

Try to give yourself some space to recover and heal.

Going through a rough patch is very difficult and disheartening. At one point, you have to take a step back and say to yourself that it’s okay. That it’s fine to not have won the world in your first attempt. Everything takes hard work and patience, so don’t lose sight of that.

You aren’t failing at anything. You’re only failing to try to love yourself. Once you give yourself permission to appreciate life, you’ll feel so much better. And slowly, over time, you won’t even realize how much stronger you’re suddenly feeling. You’re doing more than you thought you could.

All because you made the effort to love yourself and have faith in your efforts.
