Poetry

There they are,
boxed, dust-covered, musty,
guarded by spiders, ants, and mice.

You reach to get them,
to bring them out of the cellar —

Your dreams,
put away long ago
to live a life of approval.

Pull them out,
Shine them up.
Let your dreams sparkle.

A beacon of hope for your soul.
