It is easy to doubt ourselves, but we shouldn’t

“Trust yourself. Create the kind of self that you will be happy to live with all your life. Make the most of yourself by fanning the tiny, inner sparks of possibility into flames of achievement.” — Golda Meir

We all have moments of self-doubt. It may be because we are tired, or do not feel well, or it may because we spend too much time around negative people.

I believe that each of us is capable of doing so much if we would just believe in our capabilities. Each of us is different, and inside each of us is unlimited possibilities. We each hold inside us those inner sparks.

A few months ago, I decided I needed to do something to open myself to new experiences, and maybe an adventure or two. I had no idea exactly what I was looking for; I just recognized there was a need within me.

I decided to write a blog. It qualified within my limited parameters. It would not cost anything I could do it at home, and I could step away from it anytime during the day to do something else. Why not?

With a very tentative approach, I became a blogger. Little did I know; I mean literally, I knew nothing.

That was the beginning. Then when doing research, I discovered Medium. I was hooked. Now I am submitting articles here and starting to gain some followers and coveted claps of approval.

I’ve discovered the wonderful community of writers who are so encouraging, and I have been accepted as a writer for the publications, Any Writers, The Ascent and 1 Minute Reads.

I am so excited. When I first decided to do something different, I never expected to be here. I am a writer. I will continue to write, and improve. I know this because I work hard at it. It has awakened my senses and it is giving me confidence. I know I can.

How about you? What do you want to do? Go ahead. I know you can.
