This week as a part of #10nocodetools with Snigdha Jain. I explored Otter.ai and used automated transcribing for customer calls. It provided a more thoughtful way to discover your ‘Aha quotation’ from the pool of verbatim.

On a customer call…

It used to be difficult for me to stay focused on the discussion guide or build a conversation with customers when I was constantly taking notes. Transcribing and compiling minutes from recorded calls take a significant amount of time. My first few conversations helped me decide WHAT questions to ask, but they didn’t teach me HOW to manage user research effectively.

When it comes to developing an interactive experience, I have started using Otter.ai, which includes capabilities such as live transcription, speaker identification, automated meeting notes summaries, simple recording options, and great integrations.

It’s truly amazing, there’s no doubt about it. It assists in the parallel management of tasks, meetings, and events.

My initial reason for using Otter.ai was to automate the transcription of customer calls, and it has now extended to include the transcription of audio-only content formats into notes for later use.
That means your most-loved podcast episodes, sessions, and webinars will become a part of your read/skim library!

And yeah, it’s getting easier to get by while still wanting to take in all of the things at once….

Looking forward to exploring language translation options on Otter as well.
