Day 23 — More meetings and catching up with the work

If I’m not practicing engaged scholarship, then at least I’m getting to talk to many people from the business and AI circles. Today, I had another useful meeting, but also need to focus on progressing with the work.

Bonus status update: I’m starting another website or a blog to record materials more specifically related to my research topic, which is the intersection of strategic management and AI technologies. https://blogs.aalto.fi/strategicai/

Other than discussing obesrvations and lessons learned related to the work carried out by people I met, we had a short flip-chartting session describing our understanding of how the development works. The result was quite interesting (see the cover image). Although I didn’t take a picture of the resulting diagram, I remembered it clearly. Immediately after going back to my desk I drew it and added some new concepts.

I don’t know if it will ever be useful, but it was a nice representation, which could come handy at some point. This goes back to the idea of note taking (see Day 10). I can’t remember everything, but I need to have a bank of heterougenous ideas and anchors. This just might be one of them.

Concerning the other point, I’ve been so occupied with the exam preparations and meetings that I’m not progressing up to my expectations with the research. Time to get down to work. A article proposal is waiting, not to mention a couple of other things…
