A good day [28/100]

Yesterday was a good day, one of the best I’ve had in awhile. The kind of day where you’ve run out of steam at the end, but in a good way.

We filled a small inflatable pool with water outside and then sat in it. It was a hot day, but the water was so so cold. Alina squealed as the pool filled up. Jackson cried when I lowered his butt into the cold water but then he got used to it.

We went out to the fabric store to buy some blackout fabric for the “room” Jackson sleeps in. He keeps waking up early with the sun, so we’re hoping the fabric helps him “sleep in” until 7am.

Alina came to our bedroom at 6:35 in the morning. The clock in her room has a green wedge colored in from 7–8, but if she wakes up before 6:35, she gets confused because the minute hand enters the green area. “I looked at the clock mommy!” She was so proud.

We made zucchini muffins in the morning. Well, actually I made muffins. Alina made pretend muffins that she put in her pretend oven (a shelf in a cabinet).

In the evening, the kids went to sleep and then we got takeout and watched Game of Thrones with a headphone splitter.
