Be stupid!
When did you stop laughing? I know you miss it. I know you watch sitcoms and read comic books, I know you secretly love those dramas and YouTube videos for teens and adults less mature. I know you sometimes laugh at your own joke when you feel you’re witty and on occasion you tell a good joke that you can hardly spell out in laughter, but nobody else is laughing with you.
With you. That’s it, right? Nobody laughs with you. Sometimes you meet somebody that makes you laugh, but life happens and you never see that crazy person again.
So you try to be funny on Twitter or on Facebook, hoping that someone will like your post or even give a lol emoji. You comment on other’s posts with sarcasm or even cynicism.
But it doesn’t work. You still don’t laugh. Not really. Not from you heart. Not every day with people like you used to or like you want to.
So how do you laugh again?
- start meeting people,
- start meeting more people,
- find groups of your interest, or your passion,
- try something new, an activity or a hobby,
- join the comedy club in your town,
- if nobody laughs to your ten jokes, try eleventh time,
- find funny videos on YouTube,
- watch cool sitcoms…
Above all, laugh even nobody is laughing. Laugh at things nobody is supposed to laugh. When somebody in you group laughs, release everything from your ego and laugh along. Don’t b sarcastic, be emphatic. Don’t be full of hot air, be humble. Don’t judge, accept.
Allow yourself to be stupid. To look like a fool. Show your tongue. Make a selfie with flowers in your head (especially if you’re a man). Admit you’re just a child sometimes. Be a child. Laugh with your inner child. Laugh with you own self when you were five. Act like a child. Just smile. Laugh at yourself.
I thought up this post under the shower, when I started to laugh as I thought of a person that makes me laugh.
And I’m on a day 44 of my 100 Days of Writing Challenge.
Laugh all you want. Just do it. ;)
