The more we learn, the more we know. And the more we know, and as we experience more, the more we understand. At the end, we know nothing.

“I know that I know nothing.”

- Socrates

The ego knows, that in order to hold on to power, it must know everything. So when we’re in a position that we don’t know something, we act as if we know. We throw out some buzzwords, lift our head and act superior. God forbids we admit we don’t know about the new topic.

But in the “not knowing” lies great strength. Not knowing has the power to curiously reach for the knowledge, to reach for a new experience and understanding.

We only have to let our ego go and our human curiosity take us to a new heights of wisdom and truth about life, world and everything.

So next time you’re caught up in a conversation and you don’t know about the topic, just say these words: I don’t know.

You may learn something.

This is day number 43 of my 100 Days of Writing Challenge.
