Show yourself
It’s so easy to get lost in expectations of others. Right now, I’m thinking about what should I write sometimes, because my business partners will see my writings here, and this writing challenge has nothing to do with business, or communication, or tech industry…
But it is me. And this public part of me is something that makes my business me better. Because I write here, I can write better for business. Because of reading fiction, I can read more clearly non fiction and business and tech literature. Because I accept this part of me and show it to the world, my whole persona is richer, broader and knows a lot more than just something that I do for my job.
We shouldn't hide any of our talents, skills, passions and joys from the others because they might not like it. One, because we should’t care what others think of us too much. And two, because, when they see the real side of us, they just might find some new connections with us.
“Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter, and those who matter don’t mind.”
― Bernard M. Baruch
