Get to know your parents before you know they are gone for good, a line from a song played by a friend through “Matie’s Road Request” during one of the many road trips here in Japan. My parents came to Japan, and my mum climbed a mountain with me, just like that! What a star this mum of mine as there were quite some scary traverses in the snow to reach the summit.

Start & End Point: +36.114232° N, +137.559750° E

Distance covered: 7.2 km

Time: 2h30

Vertical gain/descent: 126 m

Weather & Visibility: Cloudy but pleasant

Good For: Easy access, the bus drives almost to the summit, snow in June

And the route, for some unknown reason I had it on when we were on the bus, the hike only started at the blue arrow.
