[062] — The Rainbow Bridge
Would the world be a different place if our dogs lived 30 years, like a parrot? What if they lived as long as their humans? Imagine all the things they could do, all the tricks they could learn! Imagine a blind person with the same guide dog for their whole life, not having to train up a new one every 8 years.
As if their maximum lifespans aren’t short enough, plenty get taken early, before their time. It always hurts more when it is unexpected. If they are older, their bodies slowing down with arthritis, they had a good life.
The problem with giving your heart to too many dogs, they take a piece of it with them when they leave.
Vale, Guybrush. We will miss your furry face!
