114. Capture the moment and don’t let it go
Inspiration does come and go.

If you have read any of my previous pieces, you know that I’m not the sort of creative who relies on inspiration to get work done. I treat my writing as a part-time job: you gotta do it, day in, day out.
Having said that, I can’t ignore the fact that there are good days and bad days. At my worst, I may only be able to write out 1,000 excruciating words. At my peak, I can probably add 4,000+ words to my novel.
While I don’t rely on inspiration, when it does come, I make sure to bottle it as best as I can. It could be a song, a feeling, a painful memory. The last one particularly is a powerful driver. Having a strong reason why to drive me forward is inspiration that I can fall back on.
What sort of inspiration do you use to smash through your procrastination?
