You try and stay on track.

I’m not known for my ability to plan life that well. I just sort of take it as it comes. I try to control the day to day, but I know that in the scheme of things, it won’t really change much.

It’s things like having a baby, getting married, moving to a new country… these things can upset habit, routine and rhythm, but they can lead to the greatest growth.

Sometimes, I wish I was more proactive, but then I remember that we have less control over our lives than we think we do. Being reactive and reacting positively to anything life throws at us is more useful than trying to change our own paths.

There are always going to be unseen twists in the road. Try and plan for them, but if you go off the track, just slow down a bit and get back on. It’s not the end of the world.
