Your North Star will keep you from getting lost.

Everyone has those days where they wake up and question what the hell they’re doing. They’re stuck in a job they hate, doing the same thing over and over with no escape in sight. Or they’re with the wrong people who don’t help them improve.

Having a personal creed is like having a North Star. It’s lofty and high, sitting up there in the sky for you to always see. If you don’t believe in something, you don’t have any bearings to refer to when you have these days.

Sometimes it’s right in front of you. It could be a family member who inspires you to do better. Other times, it could be a community of people you wish to aspire to. If you have neither of these, it has to come from yourself.

Your North Star shouldn’t change. If it does, how do you know you’re going in the right direction?
