12. Be like water, my friend.
There were rocks in your way. You kept going, changing your shape to move past them with ease. Overcoming the obstacles in your way with grace as you gently proceeded.
You glided onward, and on, and on, and you were falling then, and you were crashing deep, and you were relaxing forwards again, the fleeting fall forgotten as the movement continued.
You kept flowing and found a concrete wall across the breadth of your path. You looked and discovered no way to get around. As if it had been constructed specifically to stop you. You accepted your fate in an instant, filling the space in which you found yourself.
You could never go backwards now, your consciousness focused only on that moment. You were still.
“Empty your mind. Be formless, shapeless, like water. You put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle, it becomes the bottle. You put it into a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Water can flow. Or it can crash. Be water, my friend.” — Bruce Lee
