13: Leaning In
Tonight went very differently than I thought that it would. A community of men that I sit with was electing a new co-leader. I had no intention of standing for the position.
As the facilitator of the process asked for a man/men to step forward, I felt this major pushback of fear. I have made it a practice to lean in to what I fear the most. It never proves to be boring or worthless experience.
So, I stepped in. I stood in my authenticity and answered to men’s questions and projections with as much transparency as possible. I sat in my own sovereignty, completely present. In the end, the entire community stood behind me.
I don’t believe that I have ever had an entire community stand behind me. It will be an adventure but, at least I have support.
