And how it affects the bigger picture.

I was watching this show and this one guy had an immediate problem and was asking for help from another guy on the show. But, this guy told him that he was the “big picture” guy and he had to deal with the problem on his own.

People are so accustomed to quick fixes that we never really take into account the bigger picture.

Let’s say, you have a big deadline coming up and you’re only halfway done. You cram and skip necessary steps to make it to the deadline. You see that nothing really went wrong that one time so, you continue doing it each deadline. Your performance suffers in the long run. You continue to provide mediocre results. In the bigger picture you become a mediocre writer.

If you’re not thinking about the bigger picture, you’re setting your self up to fail.

Quick fixes are often the easiest and most convenient solution. Let’s avoid them. Instead, let’s create sustainable fixes. The kind of fix that are inconvenient and most often than not hurtful.
