2. Why?
I work in tech, and while the industry has its fair share of problems, issues, and negative externalities, it does some things quite well.
One of the things that I love about the tech industry is that it encourages people to ask why. Why is that the tech industry fosters such an action?
Well, that I don’t have a good answer to, but if I had to guess it’s because when you work in tech, you’re creating, you’re on the bleeding edge of innovation, and things break out there. A lot.
It’s such a powerful question, but because the answers are hard or long or confusing or whatever we learn to stop asking. “Because” becomes an acceptable answer.
At what point in growing up does being curious become uncool?
