20. Brexit

I still can’t believe it.

Like, less than 12 hours after the fact, the leaders of the ‘leave’ camp were openly admintting on the BBC that they lied in their campaign.

“Oh? All the money we said time and time again would be freed up for the NHS? Oh yeah, that was a lie. That number is an order of magnitude off. Oh, and we might not actually repatriate that for a decade. So yeah, about that…”

How is this even possible? How does the media allow for such insanity to persist?

There’s so many lessons to be learned from the Brexit, but if one is to stand above them all, it’s that the younger generation needs to stand up.

An overwhelming majority of youth voted to stay, but their voices (mind you, the voices of the people who would need to live with this decision) were drowned out by the xenophobic screams of the elderly.

For the love of god people. Go vote.

This shit matters.
