215. If you feel worn down, here’s how to stay creative
Don’t give your mind time to think.
I think — a lot. It’s a blessing and curse. Without it, I wouldn’t be able to make connections in the world and see more than other people.
But at the same time, thinking a lot leads to overthinking, which leads to paralysis by analysis.
The latter occurs at least once a week. To combat this and “reset” my mind, I play badminton on most Fridays.
When a shuttle flies at you at nearly 200 kilometers per hour, you don’t have time to think. You just react.
When I drive home, my mind is clear as ever. As we approach the end of the year, do you need to reset your mind and go into 2017 with a clear head?
Find a way to prevent your mind from overthinking. For me, it’s fast sports.
