is a very strange hobby to have.

The majority of sports teams supporters suffer. They know that their team are never going to win anything and we generally lose or draw more games than we win.

Every week we build up hope in ourselves and our team, only for it to be cruelly whipped away. We mope around for a day or two then we start the vicious cycle all over again.

It’s practically self-torture.

And yet we continue to put our hear and soul into following the team. No matter how much they hurt and disappoint us. We spend money to be hurt.

But once in a while, our team will do something great, something that makes all of the pain disappear. We feel like we’re walking on cloud nine.

I guess that’s why we support sports teams — it’s like an addiction. We are willing to go through all of the suffering just so that we can experience those few moments of pure exhilaration.

I told you it’s a strange hobby to have.
