3) Do miracles happen?

Only every day.

“Parting your soup is not a miracle, Bruce. It’s a magic trick. A single mom who’s working two jobs and still finds time to take her kid to soccer practice, that’s a miracle. A teenager who says “no” to drugs and “yes” to an education, that’s a miracle. People want me to do everything for them. But what they don’t realize is *they* have the power. You want to see a miracle, son? Be the miracle.”
-God (Bruce Almighty)

Oh, Morgan Freeman (God in Bruce Almighty). He says things so eloquently. The practical acts of selflessness and good decisions by every day beings are miracles. Sometimes we just don’t notice because we’re busy trying to navigate our way through our own personal journey.

I once went through a Taco Bell that I frequented on nights that class went long. I remember this guy who worked there that was always really nice. One night I felt led to actually tell him how good of a job he does. I remember how good it made me feel and how much he appreciated the compliment. The best part was that it was really easy.

Give credit where it’s due. Make somebody’s day. It’s the small miracles that make the difference.
