So today I’m at the gym talking to a buddy of mine (who also happens to own the place), and also happens to be good friends with Florida Georgia Line, Dierks Bentley, and John Cena.

…when we got to talking about the whole concept of being “backstage.” Before you’ve ever been backstage with an artist, been pre-performance with a celebrity, it’s this thing of mystery, this place of allure.

Once you’re backstage, after a set that you just watched someone command the absolute attention of 45,000 people, and you find yourself sitting next to that person while they eat raw carrots and ranch, it’s all… weird.

…it’s like, whoa. You’re a normal person.

You too eat carrots with ranch and like Grapefruit Sculpin.

Being exposed to that level of normacy seems to break this arbitray fourth wall that we place around celebrities. It’s so crazy.

They’re people just like you and I. Don’t think they have some special superpowers. You can change just as much as those that came before you.
