Sometimes I miss being a full-time employee. In many ways life was a lot simpler.

No worries about income, being able to plan for big expenses in advance because you know you’ll have “x” amount coming in. Not having to be constantly looking for business(unless you’re a sales person).

And then I think about the office politics, the lack of variety and challenge after the first year or two, the lack of freedom of time, the “limit” on how much you can earn each month (unless you have a side hustle).

Both being an employee and an entrepreneur have their ups and downs. It all depends on what kind of person you are. Some people simply cannot cope with the uncertainty of entrepreneurship while others cannot think of anything worse than being tethered to a desk full-time.

I flit between the two. Of course it also depends on whether I’m having a good month or a bad month as an entrepreneur :-)
