391. Finish tonight or in the morning?

I used to prefer to push through the night to get work done. I remember during my uni days I’d easily stay up till 4–5am writing my assignments as I wanted to sleep easy knowing I’d finished it.

But as I get older it becomes more difficult to do. I still prefer to get it finished but my body tells me that sleep is more important and that I should start afresh in the morning. The risk is that I oversleep and end up rushing in the morning to finish, resulting in a less than satisfactory outcome. On the flip-side I don’t sleep properly because I’m too worried about the fact that I need to get up early to finish something.

It’s a much nicer feeling to go to bed knowing that you’ve completed the task. Unfortunately my increasingly heavy eyelids no longer agree with me.

What approach do you take?
