It was a dangler.

Apparently it dangled for most of this past Friday until later that afternoon, when it was de-dangled forever. My daughter lost her sixth tooth.

Finally.

This one seemed to take forever. My wife and I had faced too many “wanna see my tooth?” offers followed by the ol’ two finger wiggle. Don’t tell my daughter but I managed to avert my eyes in the nick of time every time.

My daughter has a tooth fairy, and her name is Fiorella. Fiorella had made five previous visits to transact with my daughter. My daughter leaves a lost tooth in a pocket on a pillow my wife made for her, and the next morning it’s replaced with some cold, hard cash.

But this time, my daughter was interested in knowing a bit more about her tooth fairy. So she left Fiorella two notes. And when we woke this morning, we learned Fiorella had answered them.

The first one simply stated: “You” with an arrow pointing down to a box. My daughter wanted to see what Fiorella looked like. Apparently, Fiorella botched the first attempt, which is why there’s a taped picture on top of the box.

And in the next note, she wanted to share a bit about herself to Fiorella. So she wrote “1 Fact uBowt Me is i Love Dolly PortoN.”

It was really adorable and I hope it puts a smile on your face as it did ours.
