40. Stuck With a Date
Sorry about the misleading title up there. This has nothing to do with relationships neither is it a fancy story about a ‘date’ gone wrong; maybe ;).
The past few days I’ve been writing the same date (and by date I mean — dd/mm/yyyyy — kind of thing) on every single piece of official document that I have had to sign. It has been every bit frustrating; from requesting a new form to fill because: “‘they don’t allow cancellation” to having to re-do a whole form… The problems associated with missed or wrong dates can be time consuming to correct.
I took serious note of it when I repeated the same on my journal (the one space where I’m fully supposed to be present — focused, alert and conscious)! It lurched me into a train of “what ifs”. The current ‘awareness’ brigade and ‘be present’ crusaders — don’t make it easier. I stopped my self short of feeling guilty.
I guess it is okay to be absent at times. It actually takes an awareness of absence to fully return to the presence of the moment.
